This morning on his way to school, Michael hit a train.  Yep, you read that right.  Miraculously, he walked away.  Sore as hell, just a few scratches on his right hand, banged up his knee a bit, but other than that he’s OK.

Apparently, he was behind a school bus that turned right at the tracks.  The school bus blocked his view of the flashing lights, and the train was coming from the right.  When he cleared the school bus he saw the train, but it was too late.   Hit slammed on the brakes and ended up hitting the 4th car from the Engine (according to the conductor).

He’s very, very lucky.

Here’s Molly’s routines from the Buckeye Classic this past Sunday.   We thought she was having a poopy meet.  Turns out she scored well enough for 2nd place all-around for her age group.

Go Molly!

Baby proofed your house?

Don’t forget that bottom drawer that has all the cake decorating supplies.  Like food coloring…

Euchre Tourney

The annual Hawk Euchre Tourney was a success.  At least for the Dishers.

Claudine nabbed 2nd (and $70).   I finished just out of the money, but did get to split the high-hand pot (net another $50).

I left my camera at Kris and Angies so there aren’t any photos to post.   Company was good, food even better.

Vic was successful at finishing in the money (3 way tie for 3rd) so he recouped his entry fees and a little more.  Kim, not so much.  She had a rough night.  Vic also made some new friends.  He should probably watch his back though, I think Dawn might take out a hit on him :)

And …

I made it through the evening without chew, which was a major win!.
