Solomon Wickey

My wife and I and a couple friends of ours went to see Solomon this morning. My wife had been to see him a couple times before.

If you don’t know who Solomon is, you could start by taking a look at this book that was written about him: Solomon’s Touch.

I had been looking forward to this trip to meet Mr. Wickey since my wife had gone to visit him and today was my opportunity. We drove up yesterday (Sunday) and spent the night in Auburn, IN.

Visiting Mr. Wickey is the one place in life it doesn’t pay to be early. You need to be right on-time. 6:05am is a good time.

We had emailed a couple weeks prior according to the instructions. We made darn sure we weren’t early. I can appreciate not wanting people lining up at my driveway while I’m waking up and getting ready to do my days work. Heck I can barely stand it when people turn around in my driveway.

Anyway, I personally haven’t been a big fan of alternative medicine. My family, specifically my mother’s side has always embraced herbs, and natural remedies. I don’t really have a problem with those. I know for a fact that aloe works, break open a plant and put it on a cut or a burn and good things happen. However, there have been other herbal remedies I’ve used or tried in the past that haven’t been so helpful. But hey, not everything works for everyone all the time right? Some people (me thankfully) don’t get poison ivy by simply touching it, others like my cousins only have to look at it and they are done.

Quite possibly my worst ever experience with a “holistic or alternative??? healer was a local homeopathic MD. Anyway, I used to suffer from hives at various times for no apparent reason. When I’d get them I’d get them bad. On my hands and feet, neck, head, and waist, I could barely walk and it, well, it wasn’t pleasant. Normally when this happens, I rush to the family DR. and get cortisone shot to clear it up. Benadryl, well I’m pretty much immune to that stuff now.

Anyway to cut to the chase, I started to get hives (yes, if you get them you know what I’m talking about, you feel it, a few hours before they show up the area will start to itch and burn) and went to this alternative medicine guy. He asks me if I’m ready to get rid of them for good. “Well heck yeah, don’t just stand there, give me the potion???. He gives me something to put under my tongue. I then over the next couple hours proceeded to get the worst case of hives in my entire life. I mean, I almost volunteered to be put down. It didn’t take long to get back to the cortisone again. Now days I just don’t get them anymore, or it’s very rare, when I do it’s clearly a reaction to something. Usually a medication I’ve taken. But that’s not what this post is about.

Circling back to today and my visit with Dr. Wickey…

When you arrive, even at 6:05pm, be reasonable as you wait for things to get started. People aren’t awake yet. Even is Mr. Wickey is, he’s probably having breakfast. Have some sense. Don’t yell in the parking lot. Heck some of us visitors aren’t even fully awake yet.

Oh, and do go to the bathroom before you head out. They have facilities there, but just trust me on this.

Dave (the bouncer guy) who volunteers his time to organize the chaos will, as is reported else where, will put you at the end of the line if you get there early or cause a ruckus. You know, you’ve traveled this far, why go and mess it up?

When you arrive, your name will be put on a list, or if you’re smart enough to email ahead, you’ll be on the list already so there is no rush to be early. If you’re not smart enough to not go early, well you’ll get in when you deserve to get in.

When the office opens names are called in the order that they appear on the list. This isn’t necessarily the order you showed up, again, no need to race there.

Mr. Wickey’s office is very modest but clean. Neat actually, heated and lit by gas lights. (he is Amish after all). When you get to see him you’ll get as much time with him as you need. Have a list ready. Write down what you want to discuss with him or have him look at you, or in you for and heal you of.

It’s really that simple. You sit down in a chair across from him and he does his thing.

Mr. Wickey doesn’t charge for his services. He may recommend herbal remedies or treatments, and you can and probably should buy them from him. My wife has ordered and bought plenty of “wholesale’ herbs and spices over the internet and in bulk and even she couldn’t believe the prices.

Now, for every article on the Internet that says iridology is bogus, there’s one that says it’s not. I’ve read the article “Confessions of a Former Iridologist???. I’ve seen and used herbs that work; I’ve seen and used herbs that didn’t.

The thing is this, Mr. Wickey has a gift. I’ve now seen it. There are fewer more skeptical people on this planet than myself. Now what does that mean? Nothing really if you want to be sure, you need to go yourself.

He has healed family members, and in the near future I hope to be able to further testify to his gift.

Is Solomon Wickey a joke? Nope. Is he a scam? Nope. It costs you nothing to see him. If you want an appointment you’ll have to wait months, like 6 months, or visit on a walk in day like we did.

He does this because it’s his calling. What more can I say?

I met a gentleman last night who told me some fascinating stories of others and himself. He said he is a friend of Solomon and suggested I try to contact him for the current problems I deal with on a daily basis. I am helping raise 4 foster children along with our 2 young girls. We have daily issues with 2 of the foster children. One of them is particularly troublesome. He has behavioral issues that have not been diagnosed as of yet. He wets the bed daily, steals daily, lies daily, will sneak out of the house just to try and get a drink from the hose at midnight. The list goes on. The boy is only 8 years old and the things he does is scary and we do not know of a way to stop it. The sad thing is that if a cure is not found I will have to tell the father of my daughters to leave with him. It is unbearable at times and completing frustrating. Unless you live with it daily, it is hard to explain and make others understand. Of course this is only one of the issues since the father of my daughters also has major health issues at the age of 37 and I am afraid if help is not received I will be a struggling single Mom trying to do the right thing for 6 kids. Any help or advise would be appreciated.

I have had pain in both of my feet for a few years. At first not all the time, just really hurt to walk.

Now I have terrible pain in both feet. It is not the bottom of my feet but on the inside. If you were looking at a skeleton, the bones of feet are what hurt. Very difficult to walk quite often. Almost daily. Where do I start to relieve the pain?

Me and my husband went to Solomon last week and as we had read online he did not charge a dime except for the herbs we bought from him. Is there any unwritten rule or recommendations on donations. We felt bad having spent the time there and then walking out w/o paying. but we weren’t sure either whether and how to bring it up. any suggestions?

My husband was just diagnosed with prostate cancer he is at level #7 which just involves radiation treatments i would like to avoid him doing this it will take 30 treatments. If someone could suggest the right herbs, a diet regimen, ets. that would be great.

I have been following mails on this website for quite sometime now and I have noticed you ask people to write to you but very selectively respond back to them. May I ask how this works and how you operate..how do you pick people you think you want to help and communicate with. I know personally I have sent you several emails on massagerus@aol.com but have hardly ever got a response from you. One time you told me you will be in Columbus on a Tuesday and I kept trying to get a response from you for a time and place till the very last minute and never heard back anything. Ofcourse Tuesday passed and I was left wondering. Then I sent you a picture of my relative and still no response. Is this for real?

I was raised in rural Allen and DeKalb counties in IN and I have many friends and family who have seen Solomon personally. I have wanted to go see him but have not had the opportunity. Does Solomon still see people at his home? And if so, what are the times? I currently live in Fort Wayne and am on disability so any time works for me and I am anxious to be seen since conventional medicine can’t give me answers.

My daughter has just been diagnosed with Lyme Disease. What herbs, etc. can she start on to help her in the healing. She is currently taking Doxycycline per the Dr. instructions but I hate that she has to take antibiotics and hope there is something else to cure her.

I’m sorry you feel that way. Everyone has a right to their own opinions but from my stand point he is a gifted man with a true heart. He has helped my family so many times over the years and it has truly been a blessing. My sister would have had a complete hysterectomy at the age of 19 if Solomon hadn’t helped her. She went on to have 3 beautiful kids and no cancer in sight. He also helped her get over bells palsy at the age of 16 that would have left the right side of her face paralized for life. Her dr’s had given up of ever curing her.

I myself suffered a miscarriage and was told I had cancerous cells and that getting pregnant would be very hard and harder to sustain a pregnancy. I went on the yeast diet that Solomon provided and shocked all of my dr’s when the cancerous cells went away and got pregnant the next month. I now have 4 healthy children.

As for ordering the herbs from him….you do not have to. That was your choice. You could have gotten any of the herbs that he said to take from a number of places. The internet for example. I order mine from the nature sunshine website most of the time.

I’m sorry that things didn’t work out for you. But there are times when there are underlying issues that have to be taken care of 1st before the root of the problem if finally found. I know this 1st hand as well. It took your condition awhile to develope therefore it will take time to fix. Not everything happens overnight.

I am writing again to express how unhappy I am with your inability to keep your word for 3 tuesdays in a row. Yesterday went by of course and even though you told me you would contact me you did not. So I have been basically stood up for 3 weeks now..whats up with that? I don’t wish to use this forum to say anything negative about a person that i have never met but this says much about you and your ethic..I am wondering if some sckeptics here are right about what they think about you….

Shame on you for leading me to believe you will see me and yet never followed through….

I would do any of these things if I were told so clearly upfront. My issue is when I asked you if you traveled to Columbus, IN you said you did. Then I asked you if you would see me on one of your trips and you again confirmed you would. So basically you committed and never followed through. Even when you particularly asked me to call you on a Tuesday afternoon to confirm our appt for that evening – the first time I called you and left you a VM you never returned my call for more than 3 hours and then when we connected later that evening you just said sorry you can’t see me because you were running late or something and you would try to see me the following week which ofcourse I did not hear anything from you. Wouldn’t it be nice not to raise false hopes and keep people waiting.

Thank you for your suggestions though and hope the people you are are helping have a more +ve experience with you.
